A design registration offers a solution for the designer. It is the task of the opposing party to prove that your right or your design protection has not been lawfully obtained. A registered visual presentation of your design, product, or concept, therefore, gives you an advantage over the competition.
Single - or multiple protection
You can obtain a single or multiple design registration. Models are usually divided into classes for which the product will be used. If you want to protect several products, it is possible with a multiple design registration, given that the different products are classified in the same class.
Area
To obtain design protection, you can file a Benelux, European, or international design application with the competent authorities. You can also request protection in each country separately through a national official office.
